One Nation,Over Weight

FYI...

That pint of ice cream is really 4 (yes FOUR) servings... translation; its for 4 people, not one!! Each serving is about 250 calories. So if you are eating the whole container, you have just consumed 1000 calories.

The whole grain muffin is a muffin after all.  Unless it is a small muffin, and most are not, it has about 500 calories.  All baked items, unless they are made with high protein powder, are calorie dense and not very nutritious.  They are dessert!

Dont' be fooled by the HCG bull-#%$@!  I have searched and searched pub-med (THE resource for medical journals) and not one article comes up about HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) and weight loss. Come on people, it is a pregnancy hormone, do you really want that in your body when you are not pregnant?  Please let me know if you find a research article about HCG.

I have said this before... Yoplait, Dannon and all those yogurts on the market with tons of sugar in them are not healthy for anyone.  They are good substitutes for other high calorie desserts but PLEASE don't substitute them for breakfast!

If you buy cereals such as Fruit Loops or Cocoa Puffs for the kids, let them know they're junk food and give them the cereals in single servings; don't hand them the entire box.

Drinking your calories is the easiest way to gain weight.
