Hot cocoa


Forget the hot chocolate mixes at the super market. Here is a wonderful recipe that is low in calories and sugar and tastes wonderful. For every tablespoon of cocoa powder (I like dark chocolate by Hershey's or Ghirardelli cocoa powder) use 1 packet of Splenda. Add this mixture to a cup of hot water and add hot milk to your liking, sprinkle with cinnamon. As you may know, cocoa powder has very little sugar and calories. Depending on the brand every tablespoon has 10-15 calories and 1-2 grams of sugar. Any sugar that is further added in this recipe is lactose from milk but you also get protein.


I also like to add this to coffee or drink it cold or... add it to protein shakes. It makes a great frappe.
