Factors Contributing to Eating More

Words of wisdom from Marion Nestle, author of 'What to Eat'.  These are factors that will make you eat more...

Convenience- if it is easier to take the food with you, you will eat more.

Ubiquity- if the food is available at numerous places, you will eat more.

Variety-  the more foods that are available to you, the more you will eat.

Larger Portions- no brainer here... the larger your portions size (plate size), the more you will eat.

Low prices- the more inexpensive the food, the more you will buy and the more you will eat.

Fast food is easy, cheap, convenient, and every where.

Almost half of today's family food budget is spent on foods prepared and eaten outside the home.
